Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi Province and one of the oldest cities in China. It is the oldest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history. Tourism is an important component of the local economy with places such as the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and his Terracotta Army.

Xining is the capital of the Qinghai province. It is located in the west of China and thus has a very unique style and vibe over many other eastern Chinese cities. It can connect to all the big Western Chinese cities such as Lanzhou, Urumqi and Tibet and, in fact, it is the largest city that sits on the Tibetan Plateau. With many influences from all of these diverse cultures combining in one city.
