Living in China

Guangzhou is relatively laid back compared to Shanghai where people always seem in a rush and it is very conveniently located, 2 hours by train to HK, close to Zhuhai which is nice for a weekend and many South East Asian countries are within a couple of hours flight. The metro is really good in Guangzhou, however very crowded during rush hours on particular lines so that is not always convenient.
Chengdu is traditionally a tourist city and it doesn’t have much spots in town but it serves as a transit for a number of natural sightseeing & hiking routes in middle west of China. The locals consider their culture and their tourism closely connected to the city’s leisure life style. Chengdu life are generally easy and slow-paced. You may picture it as living like a panda.

How it works

Non of our teachers are required to pay any upfront costs, but you will need to be able to pay for your flight to China, as well as have some savings to get you start (excluding accommodation as we’ll sort this for you). Please take a read of our How it works sections for full information.
